School Expectations
If learners choose to behave badly, teachers are entitled to reprimand or discipline them according to the school behaviour policy. If we are not satisfied with a learner’s attitude, we invite parents to the school to discuss the problem. In some instances of misbehaviour or patterns of misbehaviour a learner may be kept in after school. Parents will be informed at least 24 hours in advance. In more serious cases of misbehaviour learners may be excluded from school. A parent has the right to appeal to the Governors if they do not agree with any action taken.
Each member of the school community has the fundamental right to be respected by others and to experience a happy school life. Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd is determined to work in partnership with families to decrease its incidence and, as far as possible, to try to eradicate it from the school.
