School Pastoral Team
The school has robust arrangements in place to support learners with a team of staff in place to ensure that plans are in place to respond to each of their needs.

The pastoral team work closely with a number of external agencies to ensure that the needs and welfare of learners are addressed. Regular assistance is provided by a number of external organisations including the school nurse, Bridgend’s Education Engagement Team, SHINE and Careers Wales.
Llannerch: The pastoral team in the Llannerch unit support learners with their wellbeing, emotional and behavioural needs.
Tŷ Derwen: Tŷ Derwen offers support to learners with a variety of needs including medical, social and neurodivergent.
Y Bont: Y Bont supports learners with a variety of moderate and specific learning needs.
Pupils take pride in being part of the school family, namely ‘Tîm Llan’, and benefit from its safe, caring, close-knit and inclusive community. They feel that they are respected and treated fairly and, in turn, show a high level of consideration and respect
